Hands Up If You Knew - House Of Lords Economic Affairs Committee On The Sustainability Of The Uk's National Debt

Not a secret but hardly any mention in newspapers or on tv but it may be one of the most important enquiries if any action is ever taken to change it.

Richard Murphy a professor of accounting who regularly appears on tv and in radio programmes and who does not mince his words in criticising institutions of government and their handling of economic issues.

He runs a very busy blog with many contributors in the comments sections.

His submission to the committee is well worth reading to get an understanding of the National Debt although he does not agree with the name.
