Liz Truss Stands Down As Leader Of The Conservative Party

Liz Truss has stood down as leader of the Conservatives just after 1.30pm on Thursday 20 October 2022.

Making he announcement outside 10 downing Street she said she will remain as prime minister until a new leader is elected.

Conservative MP's will choose a new leader next week.
