Here, Goldwind and Dongfang Electric have successively rolled off large-capacity offshore wind turbines of 6.7 MW, 8 MW, 10 MW and 13 MW independently developed by China. The launch of Goldwind's 13.6 MW unit this time marks another important breakthrough in the R&D and manufacturing capabilities of high-end equipment in the Fujian Three Gorges Offshore Wind Power International Industrial Park, and a larger MW unit will be rolled off by the end of this year.

According to Zhai Endi, chief engineer of Goldwind Technology, the offshore wind turbine with a single capacity of 13.6 MW is independently developed by Goldwind Technology and has completely independent intellectual property rights. It inherits the design of direct drive permanent magnet motor + full power converter , the scheduling response is more efficient, the power regulation is more accurate, the fault ride-through is smoother, and the grid connection characteristics are more friendly. The diameter of the impeller is 252 meters, and the swept area of ​​the impeller is about 50,000 square meters, which is equivalent to 7 standard football fields. At full wind speed, a single unit can generate 29 kWh of electricity per revolution, and can output 63.5 million kWh of clean electricity every year, which can reduce coal consumption by 19,000 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 48,000 tons, which can meet the requirements of 32,000 tons. A family of three has normal electricity consumption for one year.

Fujian Province is located on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait. Affected by the "narrow tube effect", the annual average wind speed at sea can reach about 9 meters per second, and the offshore wind resources are at the forefront of the country and the world.
