New Wick Council Telephone Numbers From Monday 21st January

The Wick Offices of Highland council at Market Square will close on Friday 18th January and reopen on Monday 21st January 2013 at Girnigoe Street, Wick.

A new telephone system has been installed and new telephone numbers allocated - see the listing attached.

Normal calls can still be routed to the call centre as before.

The new temporary home for the council staff at Wick is to prepare for the building of the new council offices which will begin shortly starting with demolition of part of the existing structure and refurbishment of the bow shaped building (known as the Ensign building).

80 staff are currently located at Market Square, Wick.

The move will commence on on Thursday 17th January with everything being in place by Monday 21st January 2013. The service point in Market Square, Wick will close at 3.00pm on Friday and re-open on Monday 21st January at 9.30am at Girnigoe Street with availability to the public being maintained at all times as per normal. Preparation work has been ongoing at Girnigoe Street over the previous few weeks.

The staff will remain at Girnigoe Street until the new offices are ready at Market Square in about 18 months.

Education staff at Rhind House and social work staff at High Street will relocate to the new office when they are ready and those offices will close.
