DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 9th) sold 28 pedigree bulls at their annual show and sale sponsored by Messrs Mackenzie, Whitebog, Fortrose.
The judge, Mr Liam Gunn, Caithness Livestock Breeders, Thurso, awarded the Champion to a Caithness Fargo, a 22 month old Charolais by Harviestoun Casino, from Messrs D & M Campbell, Lingland, Lybster, to Backmuir Trading, Keith, Banff shire, for 5400gns. The reserve champion went to a 25 month old Saler from Messrs Mackenzie, Whitebog, Fortrose, and sold for 3500gns to Messrs J & M McConnachie, Culfoichmore, Grantown on Spey.
Pedigree bulls (28) sold to a top of 5400gns for the champion, and averaged 2655.36gns (£2788.13).
