Citizens Online - North West Sutherland Project Launch

14th November 2011

Citizens Online is a national charity who believe participation in the digital world is a basic human right. As a result we are committed to promoting digital inclusion. It is our aim to ensure that the benefits of digital technologies can be enjoyed and shared by everybody, so that our society may become more inclusive and just. Together with national organisations British Telecom and Nominet Trust and our local partners Highland Council and Highlands and Islands Enterprise we are delivering a new digital participation project in the North West Sutherland area. The project is being delivered by 2 project co-ordinators, Irene Mackintosh and Shona Munro.

The official project launch is being held on Thursday 17 November in Kinlochbervie High School. At the launch will get the opportunity to discover how the new project can assist you, your organisation and your local area. We have invited along a range of exhibitors, including University of Highlands and Islands, The Highland Council, Highland Libraries, HiArts and North West Learning Centre. There will also be opportunities to try out technologies and take part in our technology prize draw give away.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout the afternoon.

We hope to see you there on the day and look forward to meeting you.

If you require any further information please feel free to contact myself or Irene (irene.warner-mackintosh[AT]citizensonline.org.uk)
