DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (January, 21st) sold 528 store cattle and 127 OTM cattle.
Bullocks (320) averaged 177.7p and sold to 218.1p per kg for a pen of 298kg Limousin crosses from Brenachie, Kildary, and £1,150 gross for a 715kg Charolais cross from Druid Temple Farm, Inverness.
Heifers (201) averaged 163.5p and sold to 200p per kg for a 255kg Simmental cross from Brenachie, and £960 gross for a 570kg Belgian Blue cross from Wester Moy, Urray.
Young bulls (7) averaged 144.2p and sold to 171.4p per kg for a 210kg Shorthorn from Knockarthur, Rogart, and £750 gross for a 500kg Simmental cross from Knocknagael, Inverness.
OTM prime and feeding cows (110) averaged 115.2p and sold to 134.5p per kg for a 740kg Limousin cross from Knocknagael and £1,100 gross for a 900kg Charolais cross from Torgorm, Conon Bridge.
OTM clean bullocks and heifers (11) averaged 116.4p and sold to 135.3p per kg and £805 gross for a 595kg Limousin from Culbo Mains, Culbokie.
OTM bulls (6) averaged 91p and sold to 118.3p per kg for an 845kg Limousin from Muirends Croft, Munlochy, and £1,100 gross for a 1075kg Belgian Blue from Dunmaglass Mains, Dores.
