Supporting a renewables revolution - Commitment to develop onshore wind generation confirmed
Scotland's onshore wind capacity will more than double by 2030 under plans to help cut harmful emissions and support the energy sector's net zero transformation.   The finalised Onshore Wind Policy Statement, published today, confirms the Scottish Government's ambitions for 20 Gigawatts (GW) of onshore wind power to be installed by 2030.

Monthly Gdp Estimates For October
Scotland's onshore GDP increased by 0.4% in October, according to statistics announced by the Chief Statistician.  Output remains above the pre-pandemic level of February 2020, by 0.5%.

Poultry Feed Deal Could Lead To Higher Costs For Farmers
The anticipated joint venture between ForFarmers and Boparan could lead to farmers paying higher prices to feed their poultry, the CMA has found.   ForFarmers and Boparan (through 2Agriculture) both manufacture and supply chicken and other types of poultry feed in the UK.

Highland Council Drives Forward With Introducing 20 Mph Project To Over 100 Sites

TSB Fined £48.65m For Operational Resilience Failings
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) have fined TSB Bank plc ("TSB").   The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) have fined TSB Bank plc ("TSB") a total of £48,650,000 for operational risk management and governance failures, including management of outsourcing risks, relating to the bank's IT upgrade programme.
